In Tibetan custom, we hang prayer flags called Lungtha or Wind Horse on rooftops, hills, and mountains so that they blow in the wind and raise one's positive energy for a good and balanced health. The colors (red, yellow, blue, green, and white) of the flags represent the five elements. Similarly, we represent these five different
lentils
in our Tena Thukpa as the five elements of fire, earth, water, wind, and sky. Symbolically, we would like to raise your good energy and health as high as possible with a cup of our "five element" lentil soup.
