Alarios Italian Pizzeria & Restaurant owner, Alan Wanuck first came to College Park to attend the University of Maryland, and noticed the pizza in the area was not up to par. Alan has been in the pizza business since he was 15 years old, and knew how to make a good pie. In 1991, after earning his degrees in finance & economics, the native New Yorker opened Alarios Italian Pizzeria & Restaurant in College Park, and hasnt looked back since. Within three months of opening their doors, the Washington Post Magazine recognized Alarios Pizzeria for their superb Italian food. The Vegan Association of the DC Area also mentions Alarios on their list of places to visit for the
Marinara Pizza.
For almost 15 years now, Alarios has been serving College Park homemade pizza, Italian and American specialties. Everything is made from scratch the dough, sauce, pasta, meatballs from the freshest ingredients available. Nothing is pre-cooked, and all dishes are made to order. The restaurants casual sit-down atmosphere makes it a perfect place for families with or without the kids. Pick-up and delivery are available, too. Alarios pizza is the closest thing to New York pizza in the DC area.
